Daily Thought – Submit your ways in the Lord

Comments

WordTrust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; Acknowledge him in all your ways, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5,6

Thought: Many a times, we  want to give God the driver seat but we want to be the GPS – try it the other way. We think that this is the best and ask God for it (with all good intention), but remember that God knows best. We might say that Lord give me a 9 to 5 job so that I am able to spend time for you in the evening, but God might want you to do his work in your work place. We are great in preparing all the specifications based on our own understanding  that there is little room for God to work on it and He has to sometimes break it down for Him to show us his ways. In all the walks of your life – personal, professional or spiritual, allow God to take control and have your perfect trust in Him and He will show you the way. You might think that this is your strength and hence God can use you only in this way, but His ways are different – just submit and don’t lean on your understanding. He works in ways we cannot see – more exceedingly and abundantly than you might ask or think. Years before I thought doing a MBA in a top institute will get me to the position I am in after many years, but God was able to do it earlier without a MBA – all that we need to do is not to put the brakes and start trying things of your own when you don’t see things moving in the direction you intended, trusting in Him and understanding that eventually you will get there or it is not intended for you and He has something better. The other part is that we should just place our trust and sit at home. We should listen to His voice and keep going and He will may the paths straight – sitting at home will not lead us to anywhere. Let us learn to lean on Him in all our ways that we might be able to go in the right path.

Prayer: Dear Lord, help me today and guide me in the path which you want me to traverse and help me to always lean on you and not on my strengths.
