Daily Thought – Great miracles needs great challenges!

“So Moses returned to the Lord and said, “Lord, why have You brought trouble on this people? Why is it You have sent me? For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in Your name, he has done evil to this people; neither have You delivered Your people at all.” Exo 5:22,23

Lord asked Moses to go back to Egypt to deliver the children of Israel. He went and told the people Lord will be delivering, people were so excited. Pharaoh on hearing that people wanted to go and worship their God. He burdened them with very tough work, people cried out. Purpose of Moses coming back was to deliver people, out of their burden but now their burden multiplied and there is no way for any sort of deliverance. At that point Moses speaks to God and makes the above speech. Why you brought trouble, why you sent me, from the time I came burden multiplied and Lord you have not delivered.

We also started on the promise of God, now troubles just multiplied and we have come to dead end. Now we have only question remaining. The reply Lord gave to Moses was extra-ordinary

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh. For with a strong hand he will let them go, and with a strong hand he will drive them out of his land.” When Lord allowed burden to increase, it was for a purpose, Lord wanted His people see greater deliverance, to see plagues on enemy you need a hardened Pharaoh, to see Red Sea dividing you need a enemy chasing. That single instance changed the faith level of a nation. For greater miracles, greater challenges are needed. Lord allows some situations for us to learn what trust and faith is.

Joseph became prime minster due to famine on the way, Peter walked on water due to a storm, David was lifted up due Goliath, Jericho was captured without a fight due to walls being shut, list goes on — Great miracles needs great challenges!
