Daily Thought – Favorable Time

Comments

This is what the Lord says: “At the time I decide to show my favor, I will respond to you; in the day of deliverance I will help you Isaiah 49:8 (NET)

“Thus saith the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people” Isaiah 49:8 (King James Bible).

In this time of favor, let us be at the throne of grace asking for deliverance, because Jesus is interceding for us. In this portion, Messiah is represented as having asked for the grace of God on behalf of sinners; this verse contains God the Father’s favorable answer. An acceptable time – “In a time of grace”. A limited time (Isa 61:2; 2Co 6:2).
The time judged by God to be the best fitted for effecting the purposes of His grace by Messiah. When is the acceptable time; when “the fullness of time” (Ga 4:4) shall have come. The day of salvation is “to-day” (Heb 4:7). The Lord has given man the help needed, to accomplish man’s salvation. To be preserved from the assaults and efforts of Satan, to divert man from destruction. Today just look at Jesus, for the Father is favorable to you and the Holy Spirit will enable you.
Prayer:   Lord; thank you for this the time of favor, now it is the time of forgiveness and anointing. Amen.
