Daily Thought – Considering and exhorting each other!!

Comments

Word: And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10: 24, 25.

Thought: Many a times we want to push our thoughts and try to ignore others as well as discourage others to put our thoughts in action – we think we are always correct and we tend to think we are doing the correct things and others are wrong (with all good intentions), but the bible calls us to learn to consider each other and exhort each our and grow mutually in Christ. This is very much contextual to the ministries we are involved in and the churches we go to. We should always try to encourage each other in the Lord and meet to reconcile with each other and exhort each and grow in the Lord. By putting down others, sometimes we loose the person in Christ or tend to destroy the work He has kept in place for us. The last part of the verse says ‘ as you see the day approaching’ which we often don’t have in our minds and something we should remember every moment – when we think of the day for which we as well our fellow believers are walking towards, the current task will be considered nothing and we will able to exhort one another and stir up love and good works considering each other. Also, with the technology growing up, we meet less and make a lot of e-communications, but here Paul (or whoever authored) encourages the assembling together which is discuss and encourage each other and reconcile rather than having miscommunication through e-communication – Let us learn to meet and consider each other and exhort each other as we grow in Christ until the day we see Him.

Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to consider others and exhort others as we walk together to the day of your coming. Thank you for giving the opportunity to serve you with fellow believers and in whatever we do together, help us to meet and  grow more in the Love of Christ and stir up each other to grow more in you. Amen.
