Manna Every Day

Comments

The Israelites ate manna forty years, until they came to a land that was settled – Ex 16: 35. In the wilderness, the children of Israel experienced miracles every day for 40 years. Every single day of those 40 years or 14600 days, God rained manna and every man and woman ate to their hearts content. In that period of time, rain might have ceased but manna never ceased to be there for the next meal. In today’s context, the manna is God’s word. Often businessmen pray for God to shower His manna upon them not realizing that all they have to do is eat the manna that is already there. God’s word has the ability to give life to our spiritually dead bodies and to any physically dead business. So, read God’s word and eat his manna; that is all that you need for better business and a better quality of life.

An established businessman once told me that a life of a businessman is one that requires miracles every day. He told me that he was in a situation where he had salaries to pay and no money with him. He read the Word and got fresh hope and encouragement. A pending payment came through just in time to meet his salary payment needs. He went on to tell me that in 15 years of running a business, he went through numerous situations where he thought of giving up. But, when he ate manna, he got the strength to face the situation and got through successfully.

I have had an experience where, I was questioning God as to whether I could succeed in a mission trip to Sri Lanka. The reason being that speaking in English is comfortable for me but, speaking in Tamil is an area of concern. God sent His word, the horse is made ready for the battle but the victory belongs to the Lord. I was encouraged, and went to Sri Lanka. The quality of your life is decided by the quantity of manna you eat. Eat more and you have more strength, eat less and you have less strength. A question, “Did you eat manna today?”

Dear Lord Jesus, help me to go through Your word every day. Teach me that Your word (manna) is the source of my strength. Amen.
