Daily Thought – Importance of the word of God

Comments

He read in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant which was found in the house of the Lord 2 Kings 23:2

Story: King Josiah sent and gathered to him all the elders of Judah and of Jerusalem. The king went up to the house of the Lord, and with him all the men. And he read all the words of the Book of the Covenant, which was found in the Lord’s house. The king made a covenant before the Lord—to walk after the Lord and to keep His commandments with all his heart and soul, to confirm the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the people stood to join in the covenant.

Lesson: Do we really spend time in reading and digging into the word of God. There is life in the word of God that can transform nations. Do make corrections in our life according to the word of God. What do we do with the word of God, is it just emotionally soothes us, or makes us feel better when reading the promises, or is it just claiming the promises of God. Ideally word of God should change our lifestyle and we need to live according to the standard of the word of God.

Prayer: Father Lord, let me live as per the word of God and not as per the world. Help me Lord to be a great student of the word of God. Amen.
