DLF fellowship – Guest Speaker

Jack along with his wife Sue are the Founders, Pioneers and Managing Directors of a church
called the freedomcentre and also social action charities Luv Preston and Lydia House
Trust based in Preston, UK. These organisations mobilise over 60 volunteers and staff in
delivering social action projects and businesses to thousands in their city. These projects have
included a mobile youth and community centre on a specially converted double decker bus, a
homeless drop-in, Foodbank and also advocacy service amongst many more iniatives. Within
these organisations Jack has trained up a significant number of young leaders who now have
responsibility for much of the day to day running. This has released Jack to travel extensively
around the world training up and advising business, charity, community and church leaders.
Jacks experience and involvement in leadership spans over 40 years. Initially this was in
business where he worked as an award winning and successful business leader for a number
of successful and multinational companies. He also founded a number of companies which
included a textile agency a property investment group and a marketing company. Within that
time he also was involved in the management and pioneering of a pop band that enjoyed
widespread success in the UK including a top 40 single.
In recent years Jack developed a Learn to Lead course where using his 30 years of
leadership experience Jack presents profound lessons on leadership, that inspire people to
learn to lead themselves and also to improve their leadership of others. Jack along with his
wife Sue are candid about their business experiences, highs and lows, and seek to encourage
everyone to go further and achieve more than they ever thought could be possible. This
course has been delivered internationally in countries including India, The U.A.E. Malaysia The
Philippines, The USA, Romania and also Malawi. Jack also published a book entitled ‘Learn
to Lead’ which mixes his life experiences in with leadership principles to help encourage the
leader in all of us. It has also been translated into Tamil.
This year in 2019 Jack published his latest book ‘Your Pathway to Growth’ which shows how
you can amount to much more than you could ever imagine. It teaches you how to start a
journey of growth which will take you on a process which will broaden and deepen who you
are. It teaches how to be successful and productive wherever you are in life. The book has had
an amazing response from leaders across the world. It has just this month been printed and
published in India.
