The ICSA centre, Egmore was brimming with activity quite early on January 14th 2009. Though the prayer was to start only at 10am, the hall was already full of activity. Last minute preparation was on to get the hall ready, to get the projector ready & last minute prayer was going on too. “Well”, all the last minute action worked because once the program started, it was one divine flow from one event to another and in the end no one wanted to leave.
Bro.Christie did a fantastic job of anchoring the prayer points which were collated for ‘Current Corporate Crisis’ focusing Satyam employees and current economic down turn by Bro. Samuel Johnson. Bro. Christie led the prayer relay, moving the action around from one corporate prayer warrior to another among the team of twenty. Though the attendees were few( as always the people standing in the gap is few compared to any other activity) what has to be appreciated is that each and every present member participated and fervently prayed with a burden for all the points mentioned for prayer with the oneness in spirit. The prayer sessions were mixed well with very good worship lead initially by Bro.Michael in the beginning and then taken over by Bro. Aby Chacko throughout the rest of the program. We had a break in-between for tea & this charged everyone up for continual fervent prayer till the end.
Bro. Chacko shared the word of God with his personal testimony of miracle on the day itself. He was not feeling well and was down with severe cough and cold till the day previous to the program and the same continued in the day of the program. The moment he had started to preach, he was charged up and was in full flow as a miracle to himself. The message was really a voice in the wilderness for the situation of economic down turn, which was testified by the participants.
The message was followed by some more fervent prayer and the atmosphere of spirit filled prayer was so mighty. Even after Bro. Rajiv concluded the program with final prayer not even one person moved from his/her chair even though we had already reached 2:30pm as against the original planned closing time of 1pm. We felt as if we could have easily gone on for the whole day, because mighty was God’s presence during this entire fasting prayer.
On the whole, the entire program was a blessing to all who attended. This prompts to say that CCF should stand in the gap and organize many more such prayers to address the needs of the hour. After all nothing substitutes prayer in the act of getting closer to God. This program did help many of us get closer to God. “Praise God”.
All glory and honor to His mighty name for enabling the corporate people to rise up for every action in this Fasting Prayer. Some participants praise God for this prayer and expressed their concern of their friends and colleagues, who missed to attend.
