together to reach out...

Thanksgiving Meet 2007

Report on Thanksgiving Meet

March 31,2007 was the day the core team of CCF decided to get together for a time of Thanksgiving for having completed 1 year in existence. The Lord has been kind to us and though we had obstacles "The program went on as planned". The sudden announcement of a state wide Strike by the ruling party meant we had to shift the start timing from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. We had to dash out an urgent mail and announce the change in timing to all concerned. To the credit of the CCF core organizing team we started on time (6:00 p.m.) and finished on time (7:40 p.m.).

By The "Thanksgiving Meet" began with a prayer by Bro. Charles and a time of praise & worship lead by Bro.Charles Barton with Bro. Martin Luther King on the Guitar.

Bro. Chacko gave a "Thanksgiving Report" of the past one-year to the gathering along with Bro. Charles Rajakumar, who presented a report on the website. As the reports were being done we could all only give glory to the Lord Jesus Christ for the progress of CCF over the last one-year.

Then came a wonderful message on ‘Thanksgiving’ by Bro. Lallu Luke followed by Bro. Anand Jeypaul who then came forward to lead an interactive "Thanksgiving Prayer" session.

This was followed by a spontaneous song lead by Bro. Jabin followed by his presentation on opportunities available in CCF for the CCF members to participate. The session was concluded by distribution of the forms with different opportunities for participation listed out. The distribution was organized and done by Sis. Anuja, Sis Pradeepa, Sis. Revathy  & Sis. Deepika.

Bro. Chacko then took over with a motivational talk on the use of the available tools to forward God’s kingdom after which Pastor Mark Khoushik was invited to pray & release the wonderful card size flyers to the CCF members.

Bro. Godson then concluded the meeting with a closing prayer.

The sudden ’Strike’ meant that we were working against all odds to do this program. But then, "When we are weak – He is strong" and our all-powerful God helped us do this program and complete it as scheduled. We give God all the glory for this program. Praise God!
